FLATBED: Achieving $9050 Gross And Impressive $2.41 RPM – An Outstanding Revenue

Week 2nd October – 9th October

On Monday, October 2nd, we dispatched a truck equipped with a 48′ flatbed, en route to a delivery in the Dallas, TX area, following a recent 34-hour reset. We take great pride in presenting an exceptional accomplishment in our collaboration with this highly demanding truck driver. We tailored the loads to his preferences, resulting in an impressive achievement by following Monday finishing up in San Antonio TX: he covered 3,750 miles in a single week and generated a substantial revenue of $9,050.

Notably, the national flatbed rate per mile, as per truckstop.com, was $2.3 for that week, as well as for previous weeks. Nevertheless, we consistently managed to surpass this average, even when accounting for the included empty miles.

This driver is renowned as the fleet’s top performer, consistently covering 600-700 miles daily. His route spans from the scenic landscapes west of Pittsburgh, PA, all the way to the Colorado border. Furthermore, his home base is in Memphis, TN, where he insists on spending his 34-hour reset over the weekend with his family. We deeply respect this commitment and ensure it’s consistently upheld.

In addition to his impressive mileage and commitment, this driver’s unwavering dedication extends to his readiness to transport and secure almost any type of cargo, except for those that are impractical. This unwavering commitment significantly streamlines the dispatcher’s tasks, facilitating the attainment of weekly goals.

Here’s a breakdown of the loads they handled that week:

  1. Gainesville TX – Columbus NE: $1,850 | 71 miles Deadhead | 581 miles Loaded | $2.84 RPM | 46000lbs | Commodity: 12 Reels of Cable (no tarp)
  2. Concordia, KS, to Royse City, TX: $1,300| 153 miles Deadhead | 528 miles Loaded | $1.91 RPM | 25000lbs | Commodity: conveyor (no tarp)
  3. Ennis, TX, to Tulsa, OK: $800| 65 miles Deadhead | 290 miles Loaded | $2.25 RPM | 48000lbs | Commodity: Shingles (no tarp)
  4. Rogers, AR, to Louisville, KY: $2,100| 117 miles Deadhead | 572 miles Loaded |$3.05RPM | 48000lbs | Commodity: steel product (4′ tarp)
  5. Hamilton, OH, to San Antonio, TX: $3,000 | 134 miles Deadhead | 1240 miles Loaded | $2.18 RPM | 42000lbs | Commodity: construction material (6′ tarp)

As an additional information to this need to mention that average DH this driver was running was 108mi and average range of the loads on the loaded miles was 642mi. Also average weight he hauled through the week was 41800lbs which is not the best maybe but considering the total revenue he made we consider it as an great performance. We would like to mention that we could possibly have booked better RPM on some loads but we couldn’t be able to achieve this revenue in that case. As mentioned earlier that driver is a hard worker and trying to be home every weekend but still make good revenue.  Driver and the company owner were very satisfied from what this truck achieved for the week. Another great thing about this week is that the route was out of the toll ways and we belive the driver didn’t spent more than $100 on a tolls.

DRY VAN: Achieving $8.075 Gross And Extraordinary $2.75 RPM

Week 4th December – 10th December On the 22nd (Monday) January in the late afternoon, one of our carriers hired an owner-operator expected to pick up a load at that time. Our dispatcher excelled in booking and achieving excellent results with the driver from the very beginning, a crucial factor for carriers and owner-operators to establish a positive start to a long-lasting relationship. We won’t be modest and would assert that this individual had a dream start in the new company, being highly content with earning $8,075 on just 2,940 miles (including empty miles). The carrier was equally proud, confident in the results, and anticipated a potential long-lasting collaboration with the new owner-operator in the company. Now, let’s delve into how the driver generated $8,075. Another positive aspect is that the total RPM he achieved is $2.75, surpassing both the Reefer and flatbed average RPM. Lastly, the driver finished the week in a decent area, having already been assigned a one-day transit load with a revenue of $1,900. However, this information will resurface next week, depending on whether the driver achieves another outstanding result, considering the stiff competition with other drivers.
